Well, the day is here. Finally after just on a months preparation my trip to the US begins. Today was a bit rushed as I still hadn't really got around to packing until this morning, however that's not uncommon for me.

On top of that I had to get the work car dropped off at the office . That was a fun drive, roads covered with water up to people's house, I wouldn't be surprised if they are flooded. After all, mum woke this morning to find the dinning room flooded as the courtyard drain was blocked and water had risen high enough to sneak into the house.

I was able to score a ride to the airport with my parents today, as they are flying to Nelson to see the latest addition to the Scott family, Henry. It does mean I'll have a little bit of a wait, but hey I'm sure I can manage.
