Welcome to Sicily Peter Selar

Zafferana Etnea, Sicily, Italy
It was great to have a sleep in this morning and today we were looking forward to Peter arriving from his long flight haul from Melbourne.

This mornings breakfast was a change from the usual granita and brioche . A glass of Latte d'Mandola was refreshing and accompanied with, biscotti della chocolate.

Nuccio, Fiorella and I drove to Catania airport to pick Peter up. He was so exhausted and had, had little sleep. I was happy to see Peter and my cousins welcomed him for the very first time.

We returned to Nuncio and Fiorella's home in Zafferana for lunch and given Peter was so exhausted, he decided he needed a siesta.

In the afternoon we put on our 'budgie smugglers' and Nuncio and Fiorella took us to visit cousin Graziella and her husband Joseph where we had a swim in their pool. Peter was overwhelmed by the warm reception he received by my cousins.

I received a stern talk from my Zia Venera, who said, "I should have come and got your mother from Australia and brought her back to Sicily". Circumstances might have been different if my Mother never left for Australia and I may never have been born!

For dinner Nuncio, Fiorella, Peter and I were invited to Rosario Licciardello and Giovanna's (Fiorella's sister), house in Penisi for dinner. Peter got to try horse meat for the very first time. Watermelon refreshes the palate, before gelato and to finish of the evening a coffee and liquor.

On returning to Nuncio and Fiorella's abode, we decided to retire for the evening.
