Time Is Running Out!

Acireale, Sicily, Italy
The days are coming to an end, before Peter and I leave for Rome and trying to catch up with everyone is almost impossible.

This morning Fiorella takes us into Acireale to catch up with Zia Graziella, Pina, Saro, cousin Giovanna (Zia Agata's daughter), her husband Orazio Trovato, their son Francesco and daughter Ciara, for a granita and brioche . I believe I have eaten enough granita to last me a life time.

It was great catching up with Zia Graziella and my cousins for the last time and I did make a promise that I would return within three years. In the meantime I also made them welcome to come and stay with us in Australia.

On the journey home, we purchased some bubble wrap, so that we could protect the Caltagirone head that was given to Peter and I as a gift from Zia carmen and Zio Roberto. I also picked up a shirt which was altered and we then returned to join Nuncio and home for lunch.

After lunch Peter and I commenced packing our suitcases and Fiorella helped Peter wrap the ceramic head.

We chilled out for sometime before Nuncio, Fiorella, Peter and I went to Catania to eat out at my cousin's Salvatore's restaurant. We shared a pesto pasta for entree. I enjoyed a Turkey Parmigiana for main course and dessert was a Sicilian Cassata. The Italians know how to cook their pasta, it is ways done to perfection, Al Dente! Peter and I paid this account for the evening as a thank you for my cousin's hospitality.

After dinner we took a walk around Catania by night and I brought my Tripod to do some night photography of the beautiful architecture Catania has to offer.

On our journey home, Nuncio stopped by a kiosk for a Salza de Limone.
