Buonconvento, Tuscany, Italy
The day starts with a great breakfast of cereals, fruit, coffee, tea, prosciutto, provolone, milk, yogurt, pastries and fruit juices.

Setting out on our walk, we had 11 kilometres ahead of us to accomplish . Aunty Mary and Peter Finney opted out on the walk and were transferred to the accommodation, Fattoria Pieve a Salti, where they waited for our arrival.

We said goodbye to Montalcino and were shuttled to Resta, where we commenced our walk.
Netty, unfortunately strained her ankle, but decided to soldier on. We walked through some beautiful country side and passed many farming houses. No olive groves or vineyards, this area is primarily wheat.

Being a short day, we arrived at our accommodation at 1.00pm. On arrival we checked into our rooms, stripped off and enjoyed the cool waters of the pool.

Leaving the group behind to pamper myself with the local beauty therapist. I indulged with a one and a half hour treatment, including a body scrub, yogurt wrap and massage.

For dinner we were shuttled to the Pieve and Salti restaurant which was one kilometre from our accommodation.

We are enjoying the ambience of this remote accommodation, it is peaceful and beautiful.
