All Roads Lead to Rome

Rome, Lazio, Italy
Whilst waiting for Peter and Ben to return from their road trip, I killed time by watching further episodes of 'Spartacus'.

I had said goodbye to Emanuele who had to go to work and thanked him for his generous hospitality and that we hope to see himself and Orazio in Australia .

Peter and Ben arrived at the apartment at 11.30am, bidding my cousin Orazio farewell (and a pat for Mondo), we returned the hired car. Unfortunately the Car Hire Establishment was closed until 2.00pm and we had one and a half hours to kill.

Ben, Peter and I decided to find Cafe and have lunch.

After lunch we returned the car and caught the Metro to Central Station, where Ben helped us purchase our tickets using an automated ticketing machine. It was time to say goodbye to Ben as he had a flight to catch back to London and at 3.15pm we had a train to catch to Rome.

On arrival to Rome Central we walked to our accommodation 'Windrose Hotel" and checked in.

For dinner we chose a local restaurant which was run by Egyptians. The food was good even though we noticed that the majority of patrons were tourists. We decided we would go elsewhere over the course of our stay.

Finally returning to our room, I did some hand washing before retiring for the night.
