Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
A couple uneventful flights got our latest adventure started. We flew from Spokane to Salt Lake City and made our way through the masses of families heading to and fro for their own spring break adventures. People watching in a busy airport is always a fun any to pass the time. We saw the LA Galaxy soccer team (some of them at least) strolling through the airport from flight to flight.

We boarded our flight to Charlotte which was filled with traveling families . Three hours later we touched down at Douglas airport in Charlotte. It was nice we were a few minutes early, but after a LONG wait for our luggage it was now Saturday and we still had to pickup the rental car and rive to our hotel.

The rental car was quick and easy with a very friendly and efficient attendant who got on our way quickly. 20 minutes later we were on Tryon street in downtown Charlotte. The place was busy with people out on the streets and in the open air bars with music still playing. We drove on past them to our hotel. Checked in and went to bed.

As we walked down the hall it was very clear someone was breaking the hotels no smoking policy and the North Carolina law against Marijuana. Ugh! I reported the issue to the front desk, they said security would check it out. Oh, well - it is beyond bed time.
