Dawson City, Canada
Today was a very early start as I set my alarm to wake me at 8:15 am, but I set it to the time zone in Ottawa, so I was actually up at 6:15 and went for a shower. Only after I came into the kitchen and saw the clock on the stove did I realize my error. It is bright here so early and so late into each day that I have no concept of what time it is unless I have a watch or clock nearby.
I went to the local "Home Depot" to order some baseboard and quarter round . I met Heinz who is the manager, and later in the day I found out that his second role in life is the local coroner. Additionally, he is trained as a baker.
Later on the day, Brian, the son of Heinz, delivered all the goods to keep us busy for the rest of the weekend. Six inch by six inch rough cut lumber to edge the garden, eaves trough and baseboard trim.
We went into town to do some grocery shopping so took a few more pictures of the buildings.
Then back to painting and the installation of new eavestroughing.
And dinner tonight was wild bison. Very tasty.
