Garbage and Great Food

Dawson City, Canada
Today was a quiet day as we spent most of it painting walls, and trim as well as re-caulking the bathtub. Not very exciting stuff, but work needed.
Sara and I made a trip to the famous Dawson City Dump . It is amazingly organized with a map at the entrance to direct you to the "circle" where you are expected to drop the different types of garbage at specific places within the dump. There is also a "free store" where anyone can take whatever they want for no charge. It is so simple but it does seem to work. The one glitch they have is they burn paper, as opposed to recycling, because the transportation costs to take it away for reuse are too high.
We ended the day with a terrific meal of Alaska King Crab and Halibut cheeks. Talk about decadent!!
