Williams Lake, Canada
Today was a day of riding . . .And then a two hour break in Prince George for some work on the bike. Last night I noticed that my rear tire was lacking enough tread down the middle of the tire, so I decided it was better to replace, than be sorry. So I called ahead to the Suzuki dealer in Prince George and the good news is they have exactly the tires I need, but they do not install. So I decided to pass on the idea.
However a couple of hours later, when I arrived in Prince George, I stopped at the dealer and asked what they could do about having them installed. They agreed to send them over to the Yamaha dealer, who installed them as soon as the tires and I arrived.
So it is great to have the insurance of fresh tires.
It was sunny and hot all day, and it was wonderful riding south on Highway 97 and the plan was to camp, but as I approached Williams Lake, British Columbia, a wild storm came up, almost like a tornado. Stuff blowing everywhere, and rain. So I jumped at what appeared to be the cheapest looking motel, The Stampede Motel, and am sitting in the doorway as the internet signal is the best with the door open.
