Keeping Ahead of Gustav

Little Rock, Arkansas, United States
I was very late starting today. I didn't start riding until ten am. I think the change in time plus the long ride yesterday caught up with me.
Hurricane Gustav heading north and appears that it might hit landfall at New Orleans, Louisiana so a lot of motels on the straight line route to Atlanta Georgia are booked for many days, so I decided to ride in a north-easterly direction to Little Rock Arkansas. I was able to book a room with a guarantee that it will be there when I arrive.
It worked well, but I still had a wild and crazy downpour as I rode through Dallas, Texas.
The persons I have talked with in Little Rock are very difficult for me to understand, and I think it is hard for them to understand me as well. We're all speaking English, but struggling to understand the words.
I plan to be on the road very early tomorrow as it is over 900 Km to Atlanta where my son lives and I'd like to get there well in advance of any storm coming north.
Distance travelled: 500 Miles 800 Kms
