Two Days of Family Time

It has been terrific having two days to get off the bike and spend time with my son, his wife and my first granddaughter.
My son and I have had some"bonding time" and we seem to have spent a fair amount of time looking for things in stores . I wanted some contact cleaner to see if I could get rid of some buzzing sound in my radio system on the bike and some metric stainless steel screws to replace those holding the engine guard on as they had begun to rust after the clay from Alaska starting working on them. We visited large stores like The Home Depot, Best Buy, Lowes, and Super Target and had no success, but eventually we went to a small Ace Hardware store close to the house and they had everything I needed. We had a gentleman serve us and he had such a thick accent that at one time I couldn't tell if he had said yes or no. My son did the translation. Hopefully tomorrow when I get back on the road the music will be clearer and static free.
My son introduced me to Five Guys Burgers and Fries and they get five stars from me. They have two hamburger sizes, and two types of French fries and they all were delicious. I'd say the best burgers I've had in along time.
As we were driving from place to place, we passed a church that had a sign with a message for all who pass . One side seemed to be spelled correctly while the other appeared to be spelled as a person with a southern accent would speak. It is all so amusing.
My son's house is a very interesting building as it is built on the side of a very steep hill, so the basement has a ceiling at least twelve feet, the first floor has a ceiling of nine feet and the third floor has nine foot ceilings. So in total as looking at the house from the back yard it is very high.
It has been challenging to have my granddaughter feel comfortable with a strange male person holding her, but after some quiet time and her seeing that grandpa is OK, it was my pleasure to hold this little bundle of happiness today. So much softness and so cute!
One of the nicest dogs is Buddy a black lab mix and two other dogs visiting who were very cautious about me. Buddy immediately welcomed me and the other two dogs, Honey and Baby, eventually saw that I was OK and we all got along fine.
My daughter in law makes sure that everyone is well looked after and really helped me today with finding something special to bring home for my wife who is so tolerant of me and my desire to travel on a motorcycle.

Three FANTASTIC generations!
You all look beautiful and happy!
After such a long drive (thanks God Gustav seems to have weakened up and the newly built barriers in New Orleans kept well enough) you deserved such a relaxing and enjoyable stop!
Lovely doggies too...
Ciao. Love to you all.
