All I wanted to do today was to get home. I left my Dad's place just before lunch and arrived home at six thirty pm.
I took Highway 401 east to Toronto, then the toll highway number 407 around Toronto, then back onto Highway 401 to Highway 416 north to Ottawa
.
It is a completely boring road with people travelling at excessive speeds, but it is the fastest way to get from London to Ottawa.
It is so nice to be at home, to hug my wife, see the house, sleep in my own bed, be surrounded by familiar things and to know that I will be here for more than a night or two.
I'll wrap up the trip tomorrow with my observations, lows, and highs
HOME !!!

Welcome Home!
Glad to see you're home safely. You've had quite a trip. Too bad you had so much rain and cold weather.
We'll be back at Carleton Place on Monday and I'm planning to go in to the office sometime in the next month or so. Do you have any plans to go in or have you had enough of the place?

Congratulations
Well done John. That was an incredible trip. Your daily journal entries were great, and I am sure there were many, like me, who followed you every step of the way. Welcome home indeed. Bill.

No place like home
Great way to let us know about this amazing trip. Loved reading about it and viewing some of the amazing pictures you collected on the way.
How much tire left on the bike?
Hope to see you soon to chat about it all if you are not tired of talking about it.
You beat all in respect to motorcycle travels...don't know anybody else who comes close to any degree to the travelling you have been able to achieve....you are definetly the road king in my books....glad to have had the opportunity to know you and be able to boast that I know a real motorcycle traveller !!!
