The g'kids woke up around 6:30am this morning. I fixed Instant Oatmeal. They all ate very well. Then G'dad decided to do some minor work on the RAV 4. Like draining something. While that was draining, he took David and Emily for a bike ride.

Afterwards, we decided to go into Colorado Springs . Glenn wanted me to find a Muffler Shop, so he could have the Sienna Van's muffler repaired. I searched the internet and and Glenn called several places determining which would do the repair today.

It was a 30 minute drive to the Muffler Shop. It was just around the corner from the old Current Outlet store. After dropping the van off, Glenn dropped me off at the Current Outlet. The Outlet store is going out of business effective mid August. I had told Glenn that it normally takes me 1 hour to go through the store, but since they are not restocking the store, the store was very junky and I would say about 1/2 of the merchandise was already sold out. I immediately called Glenn and told him to stay around in the area, and I could probably go through the store like in 1/2 hour. Sure enough, I was finished in an hour. Besides the stuff being already discounted, you get 75% off of your total Bill.

After my Current Outlet stop, we decided to try for a Play Place . Chick-Fil-A.

Remind me not to go to Chick-Fil-A at noon time! Cars, lines and people. But they have a play place for the kids to run. No photos at the Chick-fil-A.

Glenn called the Muffler shop and they were still working on the van, so we decided to go visit the Airplane Restaurant. Because it was 2:30pm in the afternoon, there were just a few people in the restaurant. The kids loved it. We walked through the plane and I took pictures of the kids sitting in the cockpit.

The Airplane Restaurant centerpiece is a fully intact Boeing KC-(7 tanker. Built in 1953, this magnificent airplane refuels aircraft through the world. Then in May 2002, it began its second mission - to be the preeminent aviation restaurant in the US. 43 passengers can actually eat in the plane. The whole place from when you walk through the front door has a whimsical and nostalgic feel to it. The hostess at the front door greets you as if you were a passenger that is about ready to board a plane. All the wait staff are dressed as pilots and the waitress, or stewardess, talks to you as if you are on a plane ready to take off.

Glenn and I ate here last year and couldn't wait to to take the g'kids.

Then I discovered that there was a Letterbox INSIDE the restaurant, hidden in the air intake of the engine . It was a stamp designed by Woodshed. We stamped the logo onto David's and Emily's hand.

We then got a call to the muffler shop and the van would be ready like in 30 minutes. I found another Letterbox on the way to the muffler shop. This letterbox was inside the Fire Fighters station Museum. David went inside with me. He loved this stamp too. The Letterbox stamp was hidden on the floor behind the trophy case with the helmets. Glad I had David with me to reach behind to get it. We went upstairs and sat on a chair to do our "find".

We drove back to the muffler shop and found out that the van WAS NOT ready. Tomorrow.

We will came home and I fixed supper. The two oldest ones had jelly sandwiches. And they ate the bread with the crust. Emily didn't want to, but finally realized that she needed to obey us and eat the crust.

Next was bath time. We gave all 3 kids a "shower/bath". I washed their hair. And I rolled up Emily's hair with the sponge curlers. I even put a few in Lucy's hair, but I understand that they have already been pulled out. Now 30 minutes later, Lucy decides to poop. I just saw G'dad changing her diaper. Thanks G'dad!
