Last day with G'kids

Frisco, Colorado, United States
We got up early to start the process of getting the kids ready for VBS/Sports camp at a local church on the other side of I 25.

About 7am, we realized we couldn't find any tennis shoes for David, so I mentioned to Glenn, we better make a Wal-mart run before arriving at the church . Also, we had run out of diapers for Lucy.

The kids had cereal and yogurt for breakfast at the "camping spot". We made sure that both David and Emily had their water bottles labeled and that I had their permission slips in hand.

When we arrived at Wal-mart - we conquered and divided. Glenn took David over to the shoe area, and I had the girls and we made our way to the Diaper area. Glenn found some Batman shoes for David. He loved them. Plus we got him some sock.

On our way to the church, we cam across some prairie dogs - hundreds of them. The kids enjoyed that.

We arrived to the church just on time. It took a while for us to get the kid's their shirts, go to the bathroom, etc. But we got them all signed in. (I did not take any photos. - sad face).

While we drove back to Katy's house, we did a letter box on the way . This was in the parking lot of a Latter Day Saints.

Once we got home, Lucy went down for a nap. I took a morning nap also. Lucy was sleeping so well, that Glenn drove back to the church to pick up the kids - all by himself - however he had the help of Betsy...aka GPS.

As soon as the kids came home, we packed stuff up and we went to Daniel's Park for a picnic. We found a covered pavilion to have our Jelly Sandwiches, chips and stuff. The scenery was beautiful. It over looked a beautiful golf course.

We returned home and Emily definitely needed a nap. We moved her pink tent into our bedroom. She slept in the "tent" for about an hour.

At 4pm, Lori and Ken McCune arrived for a visit. We sat downstairs in the "camping area" trying to carry on a conversation without interruptions. We tried our best. Then we determined it would be best if we go to Chick-fil-A, or as Emily would say "chick-a-lay" . Sweet thing. We did do a letterbox in the Chick-fil-A parking lot. Lori found it!

Ellen and Luke arrived at 6:30pm. Little Lucy had the strangest look when she realized her mom was standing right there in the restaurant. We said good-bye to Ken and Lori, then drove back to Katy's for dad to look for his "dumb fone". We left there and headed towards Frisco. Had to make a potty stop at Freddie's and I ordered a hot fudge sundae.

We arrived at Jan and David's just before 10pm. We watched the ISS (International Space Station) together. They had never seen this. Gary and Madison arrived just before 11pm. They're staying downstairs. We are staying in "g'mommy/'daddy's room. Nice bed. We put on our own sheets so we wouldn't need to spend ALL day in washing sheets on the last day we leave the Lazy Bear Lodge.
