Vail, Colorado, United States
Glenn and I woke up early and met up with Sherrie and Steve at Vail pass. We connected up with Michelle, Stephen's girlfriend, Victoria, and Stephen's friend, Alex, and we all rode down to Frisco.

We rode directly down and didn't stop in Copper at all . By the time we got down, Sherrie and Steve and Stephen were already settled into the Lazy Bear Lodge.

I cooked up my prepared Mexican Casserole that I had made the night before. And we ate off of that for lunch. We took a nap, or at least I tried to take a nap, before I knew that Ellen and the g'kids were coming.

Ellen arrived at 3ish. They brought 3 large containers of food, lots of bread, pies, cookies and even a birthday cake. The food was from the church they attended on Wednesday night in Castle Rock that gives out free food. Perfect. It was Mexican lasagna, some corn and zucchini plus some black beans. Ellen wanted to eat my Mexican dish before it was all gone.

We had buffet/cafeteria style food for dinner. Right after dinner, G'dad wanted to make a Bike run with the g'kids in the bike trailer.

We went up to the top . Ellen drove her van, and I drove the RAV 4. Coming down the trail was g'dad, Luke, the 3 kids in the trailer and Michelle. After we dropped them off, Ellen came on back home since she could be "kid free" for 1/2 hour or so. I stopped off in Copper to see the team as they rode through. They really came down the mountain pretty fast, but G'dad assures me that they were not going too fast. As they were leaving, Ellen said "in my mother's heart...."

Glenn had put the 2 older kids in the normal part of the yellow bicycle trailer. Then in the back, which is designed for water bottles or lunch sacks, he place Lucy attached to a toddler booster seat like that use at the dinning room table. Lucy was so cute. Her little feet dangling down, but not touching the ground. Glenn had cushioned her with the green blanket from G'daddy's house. NOTE PHOTOS

Stephen had come to the Lazy Bear Lodge to show us his new Electronic toy. It is a Vive. It is where you experience virtual reality. Quite interesting. Most of the teenagers were doing that through the day and even into the wee hours of the morning.

The boys had to move the coffee table, and then they had to set up the equipment to beam from the 2nd story loft/stairs area down to near the TV. It was quite a set up.

I even played a little bit. It was not my thing. But I appreciate Stephen sharing this experience with others and with the older generations.

After eating supper, we pulled out the puzzles and started working on them. One of Ellen's puzzles is of Colorado. We completed the World Map that I had started the day before. Michell helped with that.

Then we played a game that was Ellen's and Luke's, Inca Gold. I like the game, because participants all play at once. 5 rounds. You are not waiting for others to play.

We got to bed around midnight. Fun filled day. Fun to have Ellen and her family here along with Gary and Madison. Just missing Karen and Thomas.
