Brattleboro, Vermont, United States
Editor's NOTE: Normally Glenn proof-read's my blog and does some major editing, however I am not asking him to do this for me, since he needs a break. So bear with me if there are misspelled words and the grammar is incorrect. Thanks for reading.

Also, I've changed the format for the most recent entry to be on top.

Today, Tuesday was a pretty hard and consistent day . We left Millie's farm at exactly 6:00am. Our scheduled plan to leave. We didn't know how hard it would be to cross back over into USA. We had no problem at all. The traffic was pretty light going through Buffalo NY. The sun was shining straight into our eyes as we headed East on the Tollway.

As we drove along the interstate 90, it was pretty. There are not ANY billboards signs along the way. If you want to stop, you can stop at the OASIS like every 40 miles. And that is what we did so I could use the bathroom. There are Tim Hortons along the way (a Canada thing).

It was good to get the internet back on, as we were able to receive phone calls, text messages and I could surf the internet.

Driving along I90, Glenn realized that he forgot to pack our "cooler". Its just a "cooler", yet disheartening. He had set it down (we believe, in the doorway), to help me carry some stuff out to the RAV 4, and then just forget to go back to the doorway to pack it . No big deal. It just had some sandwich stuff we were going to have a picnic lunch with. Also some cold water. And Glenn had packed the 3 washcloths that Lois gave me the day before - they were in the cooler. This cooler was compact and had wheels. Glenn really liked it. So far we haven't purchased a replacement. Not sure if we will or not.

We continued driving East towards Boston, Vermont and the New England States. In Albany, we exited the interstate and drove along hiway 9 towards Bennington, VT.

Glenn enters his 50th state - Vermont! Just a road sign. But, yea, its his 50th state.    We stopped at the Walmart store and purchased a few things, then stopped again at the Bennington VT. It is a monument that looks like the Washington Monument in DC. We took some pictures and purchased a sourivner spoon.

As we were driving this winding road (reminded me of the road from Siloam Springs, ARK to Tahlequah, OK) we did stop to do one little box at a cemetery .

We continued eastward towards Brattlesboro, our final destination. Our contact person there had not responded in several days to our emails, so I started looking for other options - Choice Hotel. We had been staying with different people for quite a while, and we me fighting my cold, staying in a hotel sounded great.

Once we arrived in Brattlesboro, the Quality Inn hotel that we looked at was in pretty bad shape. Although they had room, I told Glenn that I couldn't stay there. There was a Hampton right next door - it was full. At the same time, Glenn started texting Bob S. from Virginia, and he checked about some hotels that he could get for us.

Bob S. sent Glenn another text and said "boom, I got you a room". The only thing, it was back in Bennington, the town we had just driven through - 1 hour. My heart sank. Glenn didn't want to have Bob S to deal with the misfortune - So Glenn called the hotel and explained that Bob had booked us at the wrong hotel. No big deal. The hotel was able to cancel it with no problem.

We did find a Holiday Inn Express hotel to stay in for the night. Welcomed relief. We turned on the TV - and watch our first Olympic games! There was some swimming and gymnastic events. I fell asleep quickly.
