Editor's NOTE: Normally Glenn proof-read's my blog and does some
major editing, however I am not asking him to do this for me, since he
needs a break. So bear with me if there are misspelled words and the
grammar is incorrect. Thanks for reading.

Also, I've changed the format for the most recent entry to be on top.

On Friday morning, we took it nice and slow . We were in no hurry, especially since the Olympics were on and we wanted to watch some of the competition.

Dad and I went down for our breakfast just before they shut down at 9:00am. Waffles and eggs is what I ordered. Glenn ate the last of the Cereal that we had from our trip from Colorado and Canada. He finished that off.

We then went to the main drag and parked at the JFK Memorial. This was a special museum that "honored" JFK. There was a special expedition for Rose Kennedy - the mother of JFK.   I did notice that in every window, there was 1 red rose bud - to honor her. It was very interesting and intriguing to read about her life. Apparently, she came from a well to do family as well as Joe's family, however both families did not get along - yet they still married each other. As we read more about her life, it was apparent that she had some tragic life experiences that she encountered as a mother - such as 2 sons being assassinated (JFK and Bobby) and 2 sons being killed in combat, plus one daughter was mentally challenged. Because JFK's sister, Rosemary, was handicapped, this is why he started all the stuff about "equal rights for those with limitations" Disability Rights - like making sure all buildings had ramps, proper signage, etc.

Joe and Rose had 9 children. Joe also served as an US ambassador to the United Kingdom in the 40's including during parts of WW2 . Joe was unfaithful to Rose, and she left him for just a little bit, then returned back to her husband. Guess it runs in the family.

The museum was very fascinating and I'm glad we took the time to discover it. Karen got in "FREE" because she is a teacher here in Massachusetts. Here is a link to the JFK Hyannis Museum

After going to the museum, we tried to do a Letterbox right there at the base of the flagpole. There were too many people around, so we decided against it.

We did go to Chipotle for lunch. Dad ran an errand, while I walked next door and got Five Guys to share with Glenn. When Glenn returned, he joined us on the patio outside of Chipotle.

We continued on our way back to Karen's house. We did make a stop in Hanover to see my friend Ann Manna. I first met her when I was doing HAM radio back in the 90's. And she has followed me all these years. She was keeping her g'kids, so we only visited for 1/2 hour. We did make 2 connections.
  • Ann is friends with Mr. Rego who lives at the Cape. Mr. Rego's daughter is Helen Vanderwerf from Mexico - CAM missionary/Camino Global
  • Ann is also friends with Abby Wilson Hinckley's parents in law
After visiting we stopped at Savers - Sherrie loves this store in Colorado - it is a glorified Good will Store. We got back to Karen's apartment around 5pm. Thomas prepared supper for us. Fish served on lettuce and sauteed onions with zucchini and yams. After a delicious dinner along with laughs and story telling, we played Zilch. I don't think I won. But it was fun playing. We are sleeping on air mattresses in Thomas's office. They are very comfortable and I feel honored that we can stay in the same apartment as Karen and Thomas. However, in the middle of the night, it is quite difficult to "crawl" out of bed and go to the bathroom. On Friday night, I did this 5 or 6 times.
