Editor's NOTE: Normally Glenn proof-read's my blog and does some major editing, however I am not asking him to do this for me, since he needs a break. So bear with me if there are misspelled words and the grammar is incorrect. Thanks for reading.

After our lunch with Abby and Josh, Glenn and I continued on to Norfolk . I found a Starbuck that Glenn and I could "chill out" and wait for our 4:30pm meeting time with Amy and Josh.

Amy is the daughter of Dave and Kathi. Amy's uncle is Gary Beekman. She traveled down to Bolivia back in the 90's with her dad to help out with our SAM mission conference. So, it had been nearly 25 plus years since we had seen her. I do follow her on FB, and recently we mailed her some Guatemala coffee.

Having 2 hours at Starbucks to work on the computer was great. I had several objectives - to fill out the Metropolitan Baptist Church conference form and also to fill out the prayer guide for Camino. These 2 projects required that I sit at the computer and fill out the details - instead of trying to use my handheld. I was also able to do some "pre-traveling stuff", like double checking on our upcoming accommodations.

After working on the internet and computer for 2 hours, the Nelsons arrived just before 5pm . We walked 2 stores down and had dinner at Mo's Southwest. Again, it was one of those "God-send" thing where were able to catch up on life sharing our ministry/job with the Nelsons. We also learned about their military family life by living in Japan, England and then most recently in San Diego. The family moved this summer to Virginia Beach. Theo two oldest kids are practicing in band and will be starting school next week. One is doing driver's education. Nice family.

I'm so thankful that we were able to change our schedule and leave Norfolk a little later in the after noon and connect up with Amy and Josh.

Because we left from Norfolk, it did make it a late evening for our next stop. We drove west across the state to Forest, VA, which is just outside of Lynchburg. We drove on a hi way which was very similar to hi way 80 in Texas. I noticed a sign that said "Virginia Ham". I told Glenn that we must stop and get some since we would be making our sandwich the next day .

Sunday night we stayed with Bobbie and John Pearson. We first met them while in Candidate School in 1985 with South America Mission. They were assigned to work in Colombia, South America. They have since joined Wycliffe Bible Translator and worked in Spain. We also saw them in 2002 when Glenn and I traveled to Spain.

John and Bobbie have 6 children. All married. They have 30 Grand Children with 1 on the way. And their oldest daughter, Bobbie is currently pregnant with her 12th child. Wow. On Monday morning we had a delightful time around the breakfast table talking about the goodness of God - how we have seen His hand in our lives. They showed us their 2 completed translation work. Amazing. They are at a strange in their lives that they will be taking care of John's 101 year old mother later this year.
