Editor's NOTE: Normally Glenn proof-read's my blog and does some major editing, however I am not asking him to do this for me, since he needs a break. So bear with me if there are misspelled words and the grammar is incorrect. Thanks for reading.

We are glad we waited out the storm, as Saturday morning greeted us with a BEAUTIFUL day to drive. Clear blue skies.  We drove along I-85 towards Greenville, SC. We had an 11:30pm appointment to reconnect with Mark and Bethany Boerckel. Mark is the son of Scott and Carol Boerckel, our good friends from LaPaz, and now pastor in Illinois.

Their family is the cutest thing . They have 2 girls, ages nearly 4 and 1.5 Susanna and Clara. Susanna is a spitting image of her grandmother, Carol. She has so much energy. Both girls were decked out in Clemson colors. Bethany and Mark met in college at Clemson University. several years ago. Mark currently works at a local bank in financial analysis.

He is also a magician. We remember the days when he performed magic tricks for our family. They served us some Bar-B-Que for lunch. It was delicious. We had a great time of visiting and reconnecting. Mark and Bethany are great parents.

I have a big smile on my face when I see little Susanna in "action". She is so so much like Carol. Unbelievable. Her mind is racing so fast, she can hardly keep from bubling over as she talks a mile a minute.

Story of Divine Appointment After leaving the Boerckels, we had driven by a church, Mitchell Road Christian School . I looked at Glenn and said, "Is that the church/school that comes down to Guatemala each year?"  Unbelievable. I texted Niel and Diana Thomas. Their home was just 5 minutes away. I had thought that they lived in Columbia, SC, 2 hours out of our way. But their home was right near the Boerckel's house. Again, another God-thing.

We drove over to Niel and Diana's home and visited with them out on their back porch for 3/4 of an hour. It was good to reconnect with them.

As we "followed" BETSY, back to the interstate, we noticed BOB JONES UNIVERSITY. I had never been to the school, so we drove through and around the college. I told Glenn I wanted to see the "pink" and "blue" sidewalks. Just kidding. Nice campus though. Glenn remembers watching one of their "Turkey Bowl", soccer championships one Thanksgiving on the soccer field when he was at Moody Aviation.

After this, we did a letterbox in a near-by park. Great clues.

We arrived in Toccoa, Georgia just before 5pm. We listened to Bill and Beverly share their story about what happened to them 6 months ago. Wheee. Unbelieveable.

Bev's mother is staying with them. Ruth. She reminds me of my mom. Doesn't talk much. She just sits there with a nice smile on her face. Bev does a lot for her. Bev takes Ruth to work with her.
