Greek Islands, Rhodes and Lindos

This was our first stop in the Greek Islands. Weather was wonderful. My FB friends received pics from my phone from the top of the Acropolis at Lindos but I haven't yet been able to email them for this blog. To come. Lindos rose to power in the 6th century BC and continued into the Middle Ages. The Acropolis is 12th century BC crusader fortifications that were built above the town.

The Temple of Athena Lindia sits atop the Acropolis .

We had a beautiful 30 mile coach ride along the water and through the villages. After climbing the steps to the Acropolis and taking a slow descent back down we had a walking tour of the city of Rhodes.

The weather has been wonderful, warm and sunny. Visiting places that have existed for centuries really creates a sense of awe. Also a sense of how minuscule we are in the scheme of things.

Always wanted to "do' Greece. All the beautiful ancient ruins to see. I love the red watering can and small red wagon on the store front display. Would look nice in your garden!
