Greek Islands, Mykonos

Our last stop in the Greek Islands was very special. We had a walking tour through town, into the labyrinth area and back out again. We marveled at the whitewashed buildings and the efforts the shopkeepers were putting forth to open for the season after Easter Sunday.

We visited an old bakery that still burns wood for its ovens . The smell of bread was enough to get us drooling.

A visit to the Church of Panagia Paraportiani, one of the most photographed churches in Greece, and the iconic windmills were beautiful.

After lunch most of us wandered through the streets and shops until time to get back to the ship. I actually purchased some Greek jewelry for myself. Love it.

These islands were such a wonderful experience. I love the language and the history is so interesting. I feel so blessed to have added this experience.

Now we are on to Malta. Thank goodness for this sea day to catch up.
