We left Ricco (truck driver) on the main road. As he drove away it was time for us to look for accommodation. We found this awesome cheap hostel and had a half hour siesta and then headed into town to have a look around. We bought a few beers then headed back to the hostel. After watching the sunset and the kids playing football it was time to freshen up for dinner.

Got to dinner at about 10pm which is early for over here and got a Parrilla (BBQ meat) with eveything on it . Junior tried most of the stuff but I struggled. Junior had heart, stomach and a few other things that we were not to sure of.

The next day we were going to hire push bikes and ride around looking for waterfalls and miradors (lookouts) but the weather was looking a little shit. So we decided to stop in for coffee and wait for the rain the stop. After we went for a walk up the mountain to a couple of miradors and then got to a waterfall. Nothing much just your lazy everyday 12km walk.

On the way to the waterfall we got chatting to this local guy who is building little cabanas for his hostel. He was going on about volenteering and he had been waiting for a couple of Kiwis to arrive to help out. He showed us around and then when we left Junior and I were keen to help him out. You got free accommodation and food and in return you helped him on his farm. We left and then after the waterfall we went back to chat with him about us helping out . He declined our offer of help because he had a group of people arriving later the next week so he wouldn't need the help. Kinda spewing cause it would have been a great experiance and a good chance to practice more spanish,

Anyway we started to walk back to town and saw a sign in spanish that may have said this way to town but was pointing to an over grown path so decided to keep walking down the road. Turns out we should have taken the sign posted way as we ended up taking the long way. We asked a local lady walking the other way and she said we should have gone the other way and now it didn't really matter which way we went as we were half way. So there we were again doing what we do best, hitchhiking back into town. Turns out we were a further 7kms away and we had already been walking all day.

At night we had a few drinks at the hostel and cooked dinner. We met heaps of French peolple also staying at our hostel. We were planning on going out but because they don't go out till about 2am we decided to have an early night as we had been walking all day .

In the monring both of us not feeling the best and a room full of 4 smelly boys snoring I cooked up a breakfast and we went looking at the other mirador overlooking the town.

We had a hangovewr lunch at the local burger joint and then chilled at hostel all arvo.

At night from the hostel we could hear all these horns and burn outs coming from town. So we went for a walk to find out what was going on. There were hundreds of people with flags celebrating. There were heaps of cars doing laps around the median strip reving up their engines. One car was back firing and it was so loud it hurt he did it over and over again. I could only imagine the babies ears. These cars where so shit and there were so many fumes. There were little kids in the cars and on the street this is at like 10pm on a Sunday night. There were so many people on the streets we thought someone was sure to get hit. Later we found out that they were celebrating their football team BOCA Juniors winning the Argentinian football league going through the season without a loss!
