We caught a 6 hour bus from Campeche to Palenque town, on the bus we met this couple from Belgium so we caught a taxi to a small town just outside of Palenque called El Pachen which is closer to the ruins. We found this great hotel for $25 a night own cabin and massive pool. The first night we just chilled by the pool then had dinner at hotel which had a live band.

The following day we walked to the ruins which were a couple of km's away and then walked around while Junior explained to me all the different structures. Palenque was a Mayan city from 226 BC to 1123 AD. We were there for about 2 hours and then walked back to the hotel for a swim. Later that arvo we just went into Palenque town for lunch and a bit of people watching.
