In Palenque we hoped to change our 2pm ticket for the 12 noon one since we had checked out of our hotel and were back in town early, but we didn't have any luck so we had 2 hours to kill at the bus station before our bus. We had won on a scratchy the day earlier so we cashed that in and then bought more but no luck. We thought we had won the grand prize but we just won a new ticket. It was a 5hr bus ride to San Cristobel.

San Cristobel was a nice town with a great walking street with heaps of shops, markets and restaurants. We just walked around had some cheap Mexican food for dinner and then back to our average hotel. We didn't have a very nice room but the best beds we had had in a very long time and because it was a bit colder at night we slept great.

Early start the next morning well 9am. We walked around town all day looking through the markets, climbed up some steps to a nice church on the hill over looking the town and went to some museum in that was randomly in this industrial area. I bought a knitted poncho and Junior bought a new T-shirt. We have been wearing the same clothes now for over 8 months so its so nice to get new clothes.

That night we had a great 12 hour bus trip to Oaxaca $40.
