Marten et moi partons en escapade pour Feodossia distante de 20 km, la ville n'est pas exubérante mais son eglise arménienne et ses remparts méritent le déplacement. La forteresse se trouve non loin du centre mais on dirait qu'elle est presque abandonnée, faute d'argent. Cependant comme il y a une eglise orthodoxe dans cette enceinte , grace à cela le site est quand meme entretenu par cette voie .

Auparavant la forteresse de kaffa , presque intacte, garda la ville des pillages des armées de nomades.Elle ne put rien par contre contre l'arme biologique utilisée par les mongols durant l'un de leurs sièges.Ces derniers décidèrent de catapulter dans l'enceinte les cadavres d'hommes décédés de la peste bubonique , laquelle faisait des ravages dans leurs rangs. En fuyant, les génois auraient ensuite apporté la maladie en Europe , provoquant la Grande Peste responsable de la mort d'un quart de la population du continent.
Les aristocrates russes firent construire de somptueux palais face à la mer , des datchas.Certaines ont survécu à la période soviétique et s'élèvent toujours au dessus de la foule de stands de souvenirs et échoppes de restauration rapide , style paillasse, qui ont l'air d'épaves déposées sur le rivage par une récente tempête et semblent destinés à être emportés par la prochaine.

Marten me demande si cela m'intéresse de voir le phare de Feodossia , le temps est maussade. Mais je ne refuse pas , je suis tellement loin de la France et impossible de venir au phare sans voiture, pas de transport public jusqu'ici. L'ambiance est plus bretonne que méditerranéen avec ce phare coquet et la côte déchiquetée, la forte houle, le gris du ciel, quelques gouttes par moment. Nous restons un certain temps autour de la cloture fermée de la résisdence du Phare.
mais suffisament pour etre remarqué par la gardienne du phare. nous avons droit a la visite du lieu mais pas de l'intérieur du phare (militaire).Le froid persiste , elle nous invite à boire un Tchaii, un thé avec du miel et des gâteaux, sympathique , elle nous parle de l'histoire du phare et de sa famille .Elle a vécu dans différents phares de la région , des photos à l'appui. Ils fallaient etre bien organisés car loin de tout , et ses enfants dormaient à l'ecole en dortoir pour ne venir que 2 fois par mois ou pendant les vacances.
