this morning we found that the Doha m & s is even nearer to angharad's than the one to us in Southampton. Kate was in heaven! Kevin was with us as due to an important gulf country conference his site was closed for security reasons. Kevin had a voucher so we all had a Haagen-Dazs ice cream before taking a cab to the w hotel. bizarrely the public taxi wanted to charge us double the normal fare and not use his meter which is illegal and was far more than the private cab which we took. Angharad joined us as school had finished but she had a couple of hours before parents evening. we all had a business lunch in the spice market restaurant in the hotel. it made a change to be at ground level for our meal as before we had been up in the clouds.it was nice to have a bottle of beer but at £8 a pop one was enough.
