In the morning we went to the Morne public beach for a swim in the Indian Ocean. A long sandy beach with shady palms and firs and lovely fine sand but watch out for the bits of coral,they are quite sharp! Alongside us is the Mauritian St Regis hotel,a far cry from the Doha one.
in the afternoon we went shopping for meat for the BBQ
. We bought some South African cider for Kate(£1.20) and some South African White wine(£8) which didn't seem too bad.
We all sat in the jacuzzi until time for some of the bubbly we bought in the duty free to welcome kamil and Deborah back from their weekend away. the view from our shower is one of the best,the mountain to the left is the highest peak in Mauritius and on the right is the Morne. also note the jacuzzi and the covered sofa in which we are writing this blog.
