Chiyoda-ku, Tōkyō-to, Japan
Before leaving Tokyo we finally visited the art gallery in the main station from where we board the direct train to the airport. If only something like this existed it Kings Cross station. half a dozen or so Picasso's,Warhol,Bacon,Chagall,Man Ray,jim Dine.A great way to spend an hour before boarding the train. We ate the green tea flavour KitKats we purchased, tastes like white chocolate with a green tea kick. wasabi, apple pie, cheese cake and chili flavours will have to wait until next time!.
We flew over Mount Fuji so had a good view of its crater and having decided not to choose the cold noodles last night we had the pleasure of trying it as part of our in-flight meal .Sebastian quite liked it but Kate still didn't fancy it but was pleased that "modern family " was available on screen. Passed through the transfer process smoothly in Shanghai and found ,not surprisingly , that the free wifi was imaginary...missing japan already!
Our transfer to Hong Kong proceeded without a hiccup and we were soon wandering around an almost deserted airport at midnight. Another traveller looking at his phone told us the trains had finished but that was only the stopping trains and we caught the penultimate train of the day into Hong Kong, hailed a taxi and arrived at our hotel after he had taken us to another round the corner with virtually the same name, luckily we had read that might happen.Good old trip advisor. The hotel may be called harbour view but all we can see are skyscrapers. We didn't care and just fell into bed.
