A busy day today as we started with a trip to an elephant sanctuary to feed,ride and wash the rescued pachyderms. Kate was in heaven again! After lunch we walked around the town to watch the people start to celebrate their new year which involves squirting water at everyone. They all go ballistic and we all got soaked but luckily it's warm so we dried off quite quickly. To see the sunset we climbed up to the Phousi stupa on a hill that overlooks the Mekong and the Khan at its confluence.A great spectacle!
We read on the BBC website that the body of the missing person from the sunken boat has been found and that she was one of their employees in Wales . The boat is in one of our photos,,virtually the same shot that the bbc have used on their web site.
