A big farewell to our former tour party left us as the only people eating breakfast but our new tour party will arrive this afternoon with Nick and Dom from our Lao trip. We'll have an extra day to get to know our new shipmates for our Cambodia tour. We spent the morning looking up our New Zealand options as we had an e-mail from the camper van company advising us it's only 35 days until we pick it up. Yikes! Cambodia and Australia still to come first.
Just received an e-mail from our tour guide in India/Nepal that they were there on their last day of the trip when the earthquake happened and thankfully the hotel withstood the shock. Everyone was safe and home by now. Apparently the after shocks were more frightening than the main event.
There was a terrific downpour with thunder and lightning in the afternoon so we never went out until dinner time when we went to the same restaurant as last night. Just as delicious. when we returned to the hotel our new tour group arrived after a 7hour plane journey that should have taken 1 hour due to poor weather so we shall catch up later with them.
