This morning we went with Pete and Les-Lee to walk the the dog in the local park where all manner of sports were taking place: soccer,rugger,baseball,netball,swimming,cricket and joggers all in glorious autumn sunshine. After a taste of the real Oz,a Vegemite sandwich,we went off for another drive through the park to the coast and admired the view over a vast network of creeks and islands. there were plenty of boats racing and even a flying boat which landed by our lunch spot in Palm beach. This was immortalised in the soap opera Home and Away with a sweeping shot of the beach as the credits rolled,now all that rolled were the breakers and some intrepid surfers. For lunch we had another Oz speciality a burger with bacon,pineapple and beetroot. At dinner time Pete got out the barbie and tossed a prawn on it too...more real Oz tucker!
