Kasane, North West, Botswana
Today 4 Australians joined us for our return trip to Jo'burg via Botswana. A short drive to the border for more formalities and a short ferry crossing. The ferry takes 1 lorry at a time so heaven knows when all the lorries stacked up are going to get across. Thankfully tourists fare better. It was only a 10 minute drive to our accommodation by the river and next to the Chobe national park. We all relaxed in the garden over a beer and pizza before our afternoon sunset cruise in the park, The park was Botswana 's first park and it runs along the river with Namibia on the other bank. It was teeming with wild animals,2 or 3 herds of elephants,a herd of Buffaloes, crocodiles, warthogs, giraffes, numerous kinds of antelopes and a monitor lizard. A wonderful sight.
