it was a bit cloudy and with a threat of rain so we decided to go to a mall we hadn't been to before,the Torch - a big tower shaped like a torch that stands all alone in a sports and retail complex. we've seen it in the distance but never been to it. the reason being is that it has a cinema and we decided to go and see Zootopia which we both enjoyed. this mall Also has a theme park and ice rink with its own ice hockey team.more bizarre than that is that is designed internally like Venice with gondola rides on a canal that runs around in a ring inside with bridges across the water.
in the evening we had a very contrasting time . first we went to Nobu for happy hour. this restaurant and bar is set at the end of a marina behind the Sheraton hotel by the sea and has wonderful views across the whole of the corniche,spectacular at night with all the sparkling skyscrapers. Afterwards we stopped off at a Turkish grill on a petrol station forecourt,a place we have been to before and really cheap eats for Doha.
