A nice relaxing day just a nice walk along the local beach,La Preneuse picking up some shells to decorate the flower pots on the terrace to stop the birds from flicking dirt into the jacuzzi,a real 21st century problem. Last time we were there the beach had been severely damaged in a cyclone but new sea defences have been installed. The cannon that had been perilously close to falling into the sea has been relocated nearer the Martello tower just behind the beach.
in the evening we went to Trianon,the big mall inland to watch the screening of Norma from the royal opera house . the audience was about as large as when we see these screenings in Cardigan which is a shame. Norma herself was great but the set was a bit odd and when we got home we found our views matched the press reviews.
