Masai mara day 3

Nairobi, Nairobi County, Kenya
a 6.30 start for our final game drive in the masai mara. our guide took us to look for a leopard in the hillier areas with trees for their cover. we found the remains of a kill up a tree which showed the leopard had been there in the last couple of days, remains of other creatures were about too and we found a fresh kill but the lions had long gone, just a few birds pecking at the carcass. some time later we found a couple of very contented lions in the bushes,it was probably their kill. a very obliging giraffe stayed put eating as we passed until he decided to leg it. after a couple of hours it was time to retrace our steps along non existent dirt roads back to nairobi. at the foot of the rift valley we stopped for lunch at one of gadventure's planetera foundation projects providing handicraft work for women with disabled children who sadly get shunned by their families. we managed to avoid the worst of the rush hour traffic and reached our hotel for our goodbyes to joe and vincent ,our guide and driver respectively, and also 3 of the other travellers. Not the most romantic way to spend your wedding anniversary.tomorrow we have a new guide and 8 more travellers for our tanzania trip.
