after an early morning rain shower which cleared the air a bit we set off for a walk on the beach,avoiding the beach touts as much as possible, to where a lot of boat building and repairs to the dhows were taking place under the trees. by now it was after 12 and getting hot so we sat in the shade with a beer or two until it was cool enough for a lovely dip in the sea and to sunbathe on the beach. rather a disappointing sunset as cloud accumulated on the horizon,an ominous omen of what was to follow when we woke up.
