We said farewell to our hosts and headed towards the sea. After the rather dull countryside is was nice to climb up and over the Taurus mountains descending to the Mediterranean. Passing all the vast hotel complexes we reached the old city and crawled round the labyrinthine streets to our hotel. We all showered and headed off to explore the city. Hadryan’s gate is the main draw here and for centuries was concealed inside the city walls. In the evening we went to a restaurant whose terrace overlooked the bay which was all twinkly. Sea Bream was the dish of the day washed down with the local wine.
Up early to visit the archeology museum before a day and night afloat on a gulet so no wi-fi for a couple of days.
