Finally it’s here...the day we’ve been waiting all of...well...4 days for now. FESTIVUS!! It’s been a great holiday here in Vegas. And today was great because...
We made our way over to Sam’s Town where there is yet another cinema. I got the best deal yet when I got to see Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri for $5. A steal of a deal. And plus, I got to watch the movie with Goldilocks. Well, an 80 year old version of Goldilocks. And apparently after that little house, bed, and porridge fiasco, Goldilocks actually ‘took up’ with one of the 3 bears, cause she was traveling with him today. They came into the theatre together. Bear went in one direction up to the second row and took his seat. It was too hard, of course, just the way he likes it. Goldilocks went another way. Apparently they’re trying to keep their relationship under wraps. Perhaps it’s a mixed race thing...not sure. Anyway, Goldilocks went to the other side of the theatre in the very front row. She sat. Apparently it was too soft. She moved to another seat...too hard. She moved to a couple more seats but didn’t stay. Eventually she ended up at the seat beside Bear. And there she found it...’just right’. She remained there throughout the movie. But then, it was dark, and they probably thought no one would see them. But I did...and hey, I’m fine with it.
The highlight of our day, of course, was the Festivus Dinner. As tradition would have, I consumed spaghetti (well it was actually penne, but close enough) and meatloaf (okay, it was actually just meat in the form of prime rib, but again, close enough). It was followed immediately by the ‘Airing of Grievances’ of which Kier and I both had the same one...we’re not winning enough here in Vegas!!
Now it’s time for the Feats of Strength. We’re heading back out to the Strip for that. I’m on the lookout for MNF. You remember him? Mr ‘You could walk up to the 5th floor’? I want to show him my strength in the form of a punch in the nose. From there, who knows. I may lift an Olaf or 2, or go toe to toe with a Spider-Man or Batman. These guys are everywhere wandering the Strip. Or it might just take every ounce of strength I’ve got to NOT tell someone off who does something totally stupid when they cross my path tonight. There is no greater strength than taking the high road.
Happy Festivus Everyone!!
