It’s that time again...the one you’ve all been waiting for.  The presentation of this trip’s awards...the best of the best...the memorable, the less than memorable, and, of course, the tasty.  
Best Overall Hotel - Maridon House, Oban
Best Located Hotel - Premier Inn City Centre, George Square, Glasgow
Best comfortable hotel bed - the Sapphire Princess cruise ship
Best hotel shower - Maridon House
Best hotel for a long soak in a tub - Maridon House had the hottest water, but the Premier Inn had the television strategically positioned so you could see it from the a tie!
Best tour package - the Jacobite Steam that Glenfinnan Viaduct!
Best Entertainment - our dining room friends on the ship, Mike and Lito
Best Breakfast - Maridon House
Best Dessert - Sapphire Princess...cause they always had good desserts, and we didn’t have any elsewhere
Best Restaurant/Cafe - Oban Bay Fish Bar and Restaurant, Oban
Best Drink - Rekorderlig Raspberry and Mango Cider...again!
Best Bar - Volunteer Arms, Fort William
Best Pub - Waxy O’Connor’s, Glasgow
Best Natchos - Waxy O’Connor’s, Glasgow
Best Day Trip - the port of call in Skagen, Denmark
Best Paid Tour - Netto Baadene Canal Boat Tour, Copenhagen and Inveraray Gaol, Inveraray - a tie!
Best ‘I didn’t think I’d make it’ - simply finding our way around in Copenhagen
Best Local Theatre - Theatre Royal, Glasgow (by acclamation)
Best ‘Off the Beaten Path’ -Tobermory, Isle of Mull
Best Overall Shopping - Buchanan Street, Glasgow
Best Unexpected Surprise - that Ross Noble was actually quite funny, even though he was no Danny Bhoy!
Biggest Disappointment - Treshnish Isles tour cancellation
Best Unplanned Activity - the West Highland Museum and the Secret Picture
Best Coincidental Historic Event - does my birthday count????  My awards, so my decision.  YES, it does!
Best Souvenir - a new puffin hat bought on the Isle of Mull.  It’s gonna keep my head super warm when curling this winter!
Smoothest Travel Day - Glasgow to Oban by train cause it was a nice trip and we had lovely table mates
The ‘Oh my Farkin’ Hole’ Award goes to ourselves for being foolish enough to go to a Chinese restaurant in a seaside town and be disappointed that it wasn’t any good!
Worst Example of Value for your money - Caledonia Sleeper train from Fort William to London
Most used item of clothing, and in fact, we could have packed extra of...rain coats...and could have used an entire rain suit!!
Weather aside, it’s been another great ride!!!
