It’s official! I’ve seen it all! It’s taken right up to the last day to do it, but there ya go.
It’s happened to all of us I’m sure. No question. It’s both annoying and uncomfortable when your gaunch gets stuck in your crack. So what do you do when it happens? Most people, and I would emphasize the MOST, would go to a restroom area to unstick the offending garment. Some, in a fit of desperation would go to a remote corner of a room with back to wall and discreetly dislodge the aforementioned lodged.
What one would NOT be expected to do would be to dig one’s finger up to the knuckle and pull out what has become jammed...while in front of the entire bar...and in front of the band. We four could barely contain our shock and awe when this woman did just that...right in front of us AND a bar full of patrons. Absolutely shocking. Which only goes to show...you can dress them up...but you CAN’T take them out!!
Last day here in Dublin, as I previously mentioned. P&J headed out for a walking tour while Fay and I DARTed out to Killiney. I’ve still not identified the home of Bono, but I do have it narrowed down to three. And when I did get it narrowed down, I came to the realization that I truly didn’t CARE where Bono lives. Done...and done.
It was a lovely day for a walk and we made it to Dalkey in record time. The scenery was lovely, as usual, and the temps were warm and breezy. Not a lot of people around today, in spite of it being Saturday. But there was a big rugby match on in Dublin, so we figured everyone was headed there.
After a light bite for two of us...and a not so light bite for the other two, we retired to our room to complete packing and readying for the trip home tomorrow. But not until we met up for our final debrief.
Where has the time gone?? It surely does fly when you’re getting old. Ouch! That hurts! Let’s just say it flies when you’re having fun...and there was certainly a lot of that enjoyed in the past 19 days.
Check back tomorrow for the highly sought after, although largely unheard of “Treenie awards”.
