We were awoken this morning at 7:30 am to the sound of an incoming announcement. As it’s Princess’ policy that routine announcements aren’t piped into our cabin, that means only medical emergencies and important stuff from the captain are worthy of the in-cabin interruptions. Either way, it’s gonna be bad news for someone. Sure enough, strong winds prevented us from docking at our first port of call, Falmouth, Jamaica. Fortunately, there was a ‘plan B’ and it was Ocho Rios. It’s been years since I was there, and I recall it was a bit of a shit hole then, but hey, I was only looking to buy some vanilla extract, so surely I can find it there.
The last time we were in Falmouth, a few years back, we bought vanilla extract at a real good price. Times have changed. I found some today, but the price was $49.99US. CRAZY! But, with our superior dickering skills we got it down to $20. Not really…they cut the price in half right out of the gate. Can you say ‘Mark Up’??
With our mission accomplished it was back to the ship and pool side till the rain showers forced us inside.
Tomorrow’s another sea day.

Well at least you didn’t get rerouted back to St John . Wouldn’t that have made your jaw drop. No snow here yet but so windy and cold . I love the blue sky and blue water near without a winter jacket 🥰 I know your having a good time 🎄🥰🎄Merry Christmas 🎄
