Day #5 - laziness is alive!

Praia da Rocha, Faro District, Portugal
It’s rant time!  You knew it would come eventually, cause there’s always something rant-worthy wherever I travel.  Today it’s a familiar one.  I’ve ranted about it before on the cruise ships.  You’ll be relieved to know it’s not an exclusive problem to being on the water.  It’s everywhere and it’s f*@king annoying!

So…breakfast is included with our hotel room…and no, it’s not about the line blockers at the buffet…not this time.  The restaurant is on level -1.  The main lobby is on level 0.  Right beside the elevator on level -1 is a well signed stairway that leads to the lobby.  It’s about…oh, maybe 15 stairs.  And yet people…and by people I mean a certain generation which identifies by the letter ‘Z’…will wait at that elevator for 5 minutes before they’ll walk up 15 steps.  Five minutes with their phone in their face instead of 30 seconds of moving their legs.  You can’t get to the beach around here without climbing down, and eventually back up, 100 stairs or so.  Yet 15 is too many.
It was a beautiful day here today.  Seems the weather has finally taken a turn for the better.  It was so nice, it was a pool day.  Followed by a Sangria afternoon and another traditional Portuguese meal, PIZZA!!

After supper a quick trip to the local casino and chalk it up to a good day all around!

Tomorrow…a road trip!!!
