Hanmer Springs, South Island, New Zealand
We arrive in Blenheim Thursday 22nd, Happy Birthday Laura :)

Its just a quick stay before we head off to the wineries Friday morning, first the Chocolate Factory, then the big four, Saint Claire, Hunters, Cloudy Bay and can't remember the last one coz we had a few tastings ....Terry was driving of course.

Next we checked out the Classic Cars and Sir Peter Jackson's private plane collection which included many world war planes and again very realistic models depicting the stories. Very breathtaking and totally recommended if you get the chance.

Then we head off for Hanmer Springs, but not before the local cops pull us over to let us know its a long weekend and people go nuts and we should pull over and get out of the way if we get a few lined up behind us, quick breath test and thankfully Terry had only had a tiny taste and sniff so all good to go.

Another very long and winding road and we are sure that the GPS was taunting us with the most difficult and narrow roads possible. More awesome scenery and we make it to Hanmer and race up to the Thermal pools for a couple of hours of pampering, some are normal pools @ 28 degrees and lots of fun and like rapids, you jump on a foam frog and go for it!

The other Thermal and Mineral pools are between 35 to 42 degrees and lets just say that after a very tasty pub dinner at Monteiths we slept rather well.
