Count down to New Zealand adventure

Perth, Western Australia, Australia
Beautiful New Zealand.....Kelly and I have been talking about this trip for a few years now, mainly the idea of going quad biking in the Wellington Forrest.  Quad biking is always on our holiday list and I didn't get to complete Wellington in 2009 with my gorgeous niece Jayne coz she chickened out.  Sorry babe, but everyone needs to know that you ended up a passenger in the beginners course!  Terry is in on the trip as well, so its the three traveling Aussies!  We work hard and now its time to play!

Really looking forward to seeing my wonderful family in Christchurch and after more than 20 years get to spend a birthday with my sister Maggie as well as meet Maia, Carter and Patrick my great niece and nephews for the first time

So, we will take turns writing a blog, and pretty sure we've covered off the activities with little effort put into the planning....3 months and only up to version 5 of the Itinerary...stop laughing Kelly!  Several shopping trips so far purchasing the woollies and Kathmandu for thermals, now my sister will be laughing.  And yes Bel we are taking the mascots!

Packing for 26 days of dressing in layers is now the challenge, our shopping list on arrival grows by the day to keep the baggage weight down, toiletries, snacks, drinks, card games and a slow cooker so we can do some homely cooking.

Three of us in a Maui 6 sleeper will be interesting, thanks for the ear plugs too Kelly, although I reckon we will all be making noise, no details required.  Of course we've been studying how the power, air con and heater will work, and Terry has been studying how to empty the waste disposal, lets call it a daily dumping station routine for the Maui, although Kelly has set the rules on using public toilets for certain events!

Just to tease you all, we are aiming to travel on planes, jet boats, catamaran, quad bikes, ferry, Maui motorhome and helicopter, visiting a volcanic island, caves, the Shire, Tamaki Maori Village for a Hungi, wineries, hot springs, wilderness country, snowy mountains, glaciers and of course some pampering.

Nath (my son) is happy to take us to the airport, perhaps too happy, in fact he asks me every day now, so when are you going...hmmm that usually means he is planning something!

Jayne please call in and make sure Lucy is ok, lawns don't die and dishes don't pile up too much mwah xx
