Sentosa day 1

Singapore, Singapore
I was going to go to the zoo today, but it was forecast to rain all day so I thought that was probably not the best weather for it! Instead I decided to head over to Sentosa Island and visit the aquarium. I bought a 'play 3' pass, which gave you admittance to 3 attractions in the island and was good value. I spent a few hours at the aquarium in the morning, which was good, and then had some laksa noodle soup for lunch. Then I visited the butterfly and insect park, which was a bit more basic but also cool. After the butterfly park, I followed a few walks around the eastern side of the island, which is surprisingly foresty (although you can still hear a lot of noise) and then wandered down to the beach. It was very hot and I was very keen for a swim but I forgot my towel and nowhere would hire them! So silly! So after a bit more of a walk I jumped on the cable car, which counted on my pass, and made my way back to the centre of the island. From there I walked back over to the shopping centre where the train station is and after a look in there, I made my way back to the hostel for a rest. My shoes got sandy at the beach so I've got some pretty good blisters now, so just resting the feet before I head out for dinner. Thinking I'll probably check out Clarke Quay tonight.
