LO COPPA FEN APARTMENT IN AOSTA ITALY

Arpuilles, Aosta Valley, Italy
Last Saturday we left Helsinki for Italy. Stopped overnight in the Milan Malpensa airport hotel. Sunday was a long train journey (4 trains) to Aosta where we were met by Lucia who showed us our apartment at Lo Coppa Fen, a 15 minute drive north of the town in a rural area. Whenever we go out the door we can hear a lamb or sheep baa. Lucia and her family are lovely people and always willing to help any way they can, it is amazing but really appreciated. They explained to us that the apartment building was and old barn on their grandparent's property where they stored the hay, 'The Coppa Fen' was a tool that was used to cut the hay and they have one on display outside.   The apartment has the most spectacular views as shown in photos below.     Monday: It was quite warm , nearly 13 degrees. We set out to town to stock up on groceries. The trip to town went off without a problem, walked to the bus stop, the bus came on time, bought the groceries, then got on the wrong bus and found ourselves a long way away from our apartment. To cut a long story short we ended up catching a cab back. Expensive groceries!! Tomorrow will be better.
