Sunday 9th - Kerry's Birthday. It is Palm Sunday, we know this because there was a gathering in the Piazza under our window this morning. After breakfast we set out for a short walk to Loveno, which is not far from Menaggio but quite a pleasant walk. We walked via the old castello district which has ruins of an old castle, then on to Loveno which has some lovely old churches and villas and interesting winding laneways. It is a very quiet, clean and neat little village and some of the villas were already starting to decorate for easter. We had lunch at Kerry's favourite bar and a quiet afternoon as my Italian lessons start tomorrow.
