After peaceful Menaggio, it's all happening in Santa Margherita. Our apartment is in the city centre and the traffic is chaotic but fun to watch from our unit. There are motor scooters and cars whizzing around everywhere just missing pedestrians who seem put out that the drivers beep at them, giving the usual Italian gestures. Today started off with a skype call from Nash and we forgot to tell him that Red Ted has a new friend here, she is a lady beetle (coccinella) I think, we will show you next time. Then we had a look around, had lunch in a nice restaurant recommended by the owners, bought groceries and happened to come across a Ferrari show in the piazza of the Basllica of Santa Margherita,had a relaxing day really. Santa Margherita is a pretty town like so many little towns along the coast of Liguria. A lot of the buildings have been restored or in the process of being restored and the exteriors have been painted with a fresco like design, looks very good.
