In a little over 5 weeks we've explored 5 countries in Europe. We've traveled by planes, trains, automobiles, ferrys, buses, English cabs, Parisian cabs, and by foot.  

England, Ireland, France, Italy and Switzerland.....from pounds to Euros to francs.... 

Loved the custom of kissing each other on both cheeks. In Switzerland though they kiss 3 times...hmmm

England...London....one of my Mother's final resting places. I am so grateful that I was able to bring my Mom to the country she always wanted to visit and finally is able too. Although this was the 1st time I have ever visited London, there was such an ease and a familiarity to it.  

Ireland.....the thrill of driving a rental car with the steering wheel on the right side and driving on the left hand side of the road, the small villages, the humble and fun people we met along the way, the Cliffs of Moher and The Kerry Cliffs and the beauty of the Emerald Isle. 

France.....it has become my favorite country. The beauty of the language, Paris..Paris...Paris...the French Riveria, Nice, Cannes, Monaco... we will be back.

Italy.....so much in so little time. Seeing Pope Francis will be forever etched in my memory, the beautiful coastal towns of Positano (Dave's favorite) and Amalfi and of course Tuscany....the town of Siena and the city of Florence....so amazing. And the little Italian woman are just so cute. 

Switzerland...had the fewest days here but it left us with memories of green meadows with chalets climbing up the hills with the Alps in the backdrop...mesmerizing. 

We've loved and cherished every experience in glorious Europe. We'll never forget it. I am so grateful for all the wonderful comments we received from you. It meant a lot that you enjoyed my blog and am so happy you went on this journey with us.

Tomorrow we fly home to our families, our doggies, our home and our friends. Reality is just over the horizon. But, as we cross the big, blue pond for home....we'll have wonderful memories of this magical time in our lives.  

Now I have to re-learn how to cook again. 5 wks of ordering out ...I can get used to this.
