Fly back to Addis Ababa to Israel, Tel Aviv

Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
I feel privileged to have seen these amazing Ethiopian sites and as usual they are much better than photos can do them justice.  All of the places have been so different from seeing ancient monasteries, ruins, rock hewn churches and Gelada Baboons.  We travelled on a personalised tour with a driver and a guide for each town.  The tour company (Yama Ethiopia) which we liaised by email to arrange these particular sites was located in Ethiopia and I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.
We have a change of plans for today as yesterday we were informed by the guide that our flight had been cancelled so he took us to Ethiopian Airlines to sort another flight.  This was probably due to not enough people on the plane as when we arrived in Lalibela there were only 7 people on the plane.  After we advised that we had to connect with an international flight we were put on a 12.45pm flight from Lalibela to Addis Ababa which was direct instead of the other one which was stopping in Gondar to collect passengers for Addis Ababa would not arrive until 3pm which would not give us enough time to change from domestic to international and get through security for our connecting flight to Tel Aviv leaving at 4:20pm.  Original plan was to arrive back in Addis Ababa at 10.40am and do a quick city tour and a visit to the Ethnological Museum which we didn’t have time for on the first day due to the amount of traffic and pedestrians around the city for the Easter markets.  Never mind, we think that it is best not to miss the international flight for the next part of the holiday as it was mentioned that the Ethnological Museum was not as good as the National Museum.
